My Client in Pharmaceutical industry is looking to fill a Senior Accountant to be reporting to the Finance Director.
Job level definitions:
- Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.
-Work on problems / projects of diverse complexity and scope. Exercise independent judgment within accounting standards and generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
-May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision-making process.
-May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
-May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
Responsibilities:
-Perform consolidation of accounts on a monthly basis (25 entities across 13 countries)
-Perform intercompany profit elimination
-Perform consolidated cash flow forecasts on a monthly basis
-Assist in preparing monthly reports for management using Hyperion/Tagetik retrieve excel
-Assist in financial analysis of Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet submitted by the countries
-Assist in the group reporting of consolidated results to Corporate Office
-Assist in preparation of annual statutory reporting, including audit, XBRL and tax filing
-Identify issues and proposes solutions
-Assist in project management
Education & Experience required:
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in consolidation
-Advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA)
-Experienced in Hyperion and Tagetik consolidation system are preferred
-Experienced in manufacturing and R&D is a plus
-Experienced in consolidation system implementation is a plus
Knowledge & Skills:
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
-Strong analytical skills
-Strong business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
-Strong communication and influencing skills
-Good business acumen
-Good project management skills
-Able to work independently and exercise professional judgement to complete assigned tasks
-Able to learn and adapt to various systems and databases
-Able to demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external interactions
